After reading Vernon Oickle's, Canada's Haunted Coast - True Ghost Stories of the Maritimes, I am reminded that without realizing it before hand I've moved to an area of Canada that's bursting with paranormal activity.
St. Patrick's Day Notes
March 17th - St. Patrick's Day: In honour of St. Patrick's Day I thought it would be interesting to look into a few of the stories and legends surrounding the patron saint of Ireland, as well as finding out a bit about the holiday in general. In addition, some of the other Irish myths and legends are also worth checking into on a day like this.
Bogus Facts about Friday the 13th
Today is Friday the 13th again. This year (2009) there will be 3 Friday the 13ths. The first was last month the next will be in November. There's a lot of superstition and misinformation about Friday the 13th, including from 'the experts'. Or more accurately, there's a lot of bogus facts about Friday the Thirteenth.
