My name is Robin Anderson-Forbes and I'll be your host here, blogging about all the strange things that I come across in life and on the web.
Basically, My Strange Blog will feature all sorts of Strange Stuff and Strange News from around the world. As well, I like to write reviews about strange books and movies.

Lastly, I'll also mention that I live in a big old house in a small town in Nova Scotia, surrounded by history, including famous and not so famous ghost and UFO stories.
- Where did all the posts go? Unfortunately about 75% of the posts had to be ditched for one reason or another. One of the reasons was that there was alot of video posts with videos that were no longer available. Other posts had "timely" info that was no longer timely. Regrettably the URLs also had to change.
- Why is there no comments or trackbacks? As of May 2008 I disabled comments and trackbacks. Here's why: 99.999% of the comments and trackbacks I've received since starting this blog have been spam.
I don't have this problem at any of my other blogs and I've been blogging at them for years now. The reason why I don't have a problem is because I never enabled comments or trackbacks to them.
As of May 9th 2008, the same goes for this blog. No more comments or trackbacks -- period.
This experiment has taught me what I knew all along -- namely that comments and trackbacks are a very over-rated function of blogging. They just confirmed it once again for me personally.
With a dozen or so websites and blogs I just don't have the time to devote to being a 'spam fighter'. I'd rather do something productive... Like, research and write.
